Snapshots

Although I shoot most of my photos using film, I also keep a small digital camera handy for informal snapshots. I use this camera mostly indoors and in winter when available light is low. Following the time honored tradition of the snapshot, most of this work captures family, with flash, focus, and metering set to automatic and no other thinking involved.

These shots exist only in digital form. I shoot them, look at them on a computer, maybe a few find their way to the web, but I never print them. I think in this way they are perhaps similar to the vast majority of snapshots being made today.
